CABRINI PARTNERSHIP INVOLVED IN THE “LISTENING TOUR” BY THE LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO END POVERTY, COVERED IN STAR TRIBUNE
Article by Jean Hopfensperger titled “The Poor Next Door”
As part of a day-long “listening tour,” the Legislative Commission to End Poverty visited Bridging Inc. in Roseville on Thursday, December 6. Over 100 low-income individuals from the suburbs told legislators their stories. The article covered the often hidden poverty that exists in the suburbs. One individual who told his story to the Commission called Bridging and Cabrini Partnership "blessings."

ENDING HOMELESSNESS IS ABOUT MORE THAN THE BED
Published letter to the editor in response to the November 8 article "Forum paints a picture of the homeless population in Minnesota" in Star Tribune
Ending homelessness in Minnesota is possible if we recognize that it is about more than additional affordable housing. An affordable home is a crucial part of the solution. However, providing appropriate and timely support services is also required.

METRO MAGAZINE NOTES CABRINI PARTNERSHIP
Cabrini Partnership is one of the top 100 reasons to love living in the Twin Cities
Metro Magazine’s October issue recognized Cabrini Partnership for the 20-year commitment to ending homelessness.
According to the article, “In those 20 years, it has done more than most, managing a transitional house for people trying to overcome addiction and joblessness and providing permanent support for the mentally ill.”

Members of the community broke ground yesterday on the site of the future Van Cleve Development. T. Mychael Rambo sang at the event and Mayor R.T. Rybak, Hennepin County Commissioner Gail Dorfman, Department of Human Services Director Laura Kadwell and Minneapolis City Council Member Cam Gordon were among those who spoke at the event.

The event will take place September 12 from 4-6 p.m. on 13th Avenue SE, on the West edge of Van Cleve Park.
